Genevieve Santos

This week’s chosen artist is Genevieve Santos, from San Jose, CA. Genevieve has a store on Etsy where you can purchase some of her work. You can connect with her and find all of her work on website, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook

Here's a little about Genevieve:

1. When did you become an X-Phile?

I started watching when it first aired in 1993. I was in the 3rd grade and though my parents were wary, I successfully persuaded them to let me. I was even Scully for Halloween.

The X-Files gave us some of the greatest, most memorable villains in TV history. It also gave us some real doozies. Martian face ghosts, teenage vampires, and aliigators, - some of the villains Mulder and Scully investigated were more farcical than frightening. Read after the jump for our top ten least scary antagonists.

If you can't make it to New York for NYCC, you can get your X-Files fix with fans at another con that same weekend. Geek Girl Con in Seattle celebrates the female geek, so who better to be represented than Special Agent Dana Scully?

A panel called X-Files: Don't Stop Believing will be held Saturday, October 10th, at 2:00 pm PT. The panel will include Erica Fraga, author of The LAX-Files and Jo Jo Stiletto, creator of amazing nerd burlesque like The Burl-X-Files, as well as Sarah Mirk, Raychelle Burks, Pepper, and Jennifer K. Stuller.

Discussion will include the influence The X-Files had on development of fan culture in the digital age. And of course plenty of speculation about the upcoming revival.

Tickets are still available here and the festivities run Saturday and Sunday.

Special Agent Fox Mulder - "Je Souhaite"

Did you know...?

The address in Samantha Mulder's file, 2790 Vine Street, is the former address of The X-Files production office in Vancouver.

Golem (noun):

In Jewish folklore, a golem is magically created from inanimate matter and transformed into a humanoid entity. It was featured in episode 15 of season 4, Kaddish, and sort of in that one season 6 episode where Mulder and Scully totally go undercover as a married couple and hilarity ensues even though they fight the evils of a garbage-golem.
