"Jose Chung's..." is another episode where almost every line of dialogue is my favourite. Jesse Ventura's "seeing is believing" rant, and Sheriff Manners' epic swearing are highlights.

But one of the best: "I don't know what was more disturbing... his description of the inner core reincarnated souls sex orgy... or the fact that the whole thing is written in screenplay format."

Yeah, Jose Chung's is a quote machine. My all-time favorite XF quote is something that relates back to my childhood and thoughts I was having at the time Jose Chung's aired. I would tell people I can't know anything for sure, that I might not even exist, so to have these ideas expressed in my favorite show was awesome to me. And of course Darin Morgan did it in a hilarious dead-pan way.

JACK SCHAFFER: Don't you get it? I'm absolutely positive me, my copilot, and those two kids were abducted but I can't be absolutely sure it happened. I can't be sure of anything anymore!

MULDER: What do you mean?

JACK SCHAFFER: I'm not sure we're even having this conversation. I don't know if these mashed potatoes are really here. I don't know if you even exist.

MULDER: I can only assure you that I do.

JACK SCHAFFER: Well... thanks, buddy. Unfortunately... I can't give you the same assurance about me.

For emotional power, though, nothing beats the Touchstone scene.

Not a fan of Chinga but...

MULDER: Huh … it sounds to me like that's witchcraft or maybe some sorcery that you're looking for there.
SCULLY: No, I don't think it's witchcraft, Mulder, or sorcery. I've had a look around and I don't see any evidence that warrants that kind of suspicion.

MULDER: Maybe you don't know what you're looking for.

SCULLY: Like evidence of conjury or the black arts or shamanism, divination, Wicca or any kind of pagan or neo-Pagan practice. Charms, cards… familiars, bloodstones, or hex signs or any of the ritual tableaux associated with the occult, Santeria, Voudoun, Macumba, or any high or low magic?

MULDER: Scully…

SCULLY: Yes?

MULDER: Marry me.

SCULLY: I was hoping for something a little more helpful.

Love it.

I'm writing an unauthorized autobiography.

I was first struck by the absence of time, having depended on it so completely as a measure of my self and my life; moving backwards into the perpetual night it consumes purpose, indeed, all passion and will. I come to you, old friend with a dull clarity of the dead not to beckon you, but to feel the fire and intensity that still live in you... and the heavy weight of your burdens which I had once borne. There is truth you know, friend, if that's all you seek but there's no justice or judgment without which truth is a vast... dead... hollow. Go back. Do not look into the abyss or let the abyss look into you; awaken the sleep of reason and fight the monsters within and without. Deepthroat.

I can kill you whenever I damn well please. But not today. Cigarette Smoking Man.

If a shark stops swimming, it dies. Don't stop swimming, Mr. Mulder. Deepthroat.

The list goes on and on with the best quotes.

It's in my siggie and I base my XF handles on it. There are so many times I feel like using it in real life... most recently with my HOA. Anyone have a wooden donkey-kicking-out decoration? I could really use one.

There are so many really good quotes from this show.
" ...you're an invertebrate scum sucker whose moral dipstick is about two drops short of bone dry." ~ Mulder to Krycek (4X9 Tunguska)

From the pilot episode :

Scully : Time can't just dissapeared! It's a universal invariance!
Mulder : Not in this zip code.

I just love how Mulder consider the implausible as the explanation
