Featured Video: The G-Files

As I pondered what to post this morning, I had a wide array of fan vids to choose from. Should I go with the schmoopy romance vid? Something high in action? An ode to Scully’s badassery? But then I remembered a message I had been sent a few weeks ago, and really…. how could I not feature this little gem of crossover goodness?

FanArt Wednesdays – April Piccarreta

aprilpiccarretaThis week’s chosen artist is April Piccarreta from Arizona. April works with painting and crochet, but her primary medium is drawing. You can find April and view her work on her website and through her Tumblr, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

Here’s a little about April:

1. When did you become an X-Phile?

A little over a year ago, I was working my way through all of the special features on the show Breaking Bad. I quickly noticed that Vince Gilligan was telling more stories about this show, The X-Files, than he was for Breaking Bad, so I figured I might as well see what the fuss was about.  I started watching on Netflix, (I binged all 9 seasons) my first drawing I did was in the second episode and I’ve been absolutely obsessed ever since.

2. What is the first episode you watched?

The first episode I remember watching was 731 when it aired live back in 1995. I remember watching how calm and bored Mulder seemed while talking to Scully on the phone, staring down a bomb, a mere seconds away from being blown to bits and thinking “What kind of show IS this?”

Top Ten Tuesdays: Mulder in Peril

Mulder and Scully both managed to find themselves in peril more times per year than the average person is during their entire lifetime, which makes narrowing the list of potential entries for this list down to just ten incredibly difficult. Seriously, there were over ten potential incidents just from season one. After much deliberation then, here are our Top Ten times Mulder was in peril; find out what made the cut after the jump.

Mulder & Scully Return in the Latest Teaser

Mulder and Scully are back! And they’re talking this time! Mulder and Scully saying something to each other on your television in 2015. Can you believe it? We can. Check out the new X-Files teaser that aired tonight during Wayward Pines:

And in case you missed last week’s teaser, or if you just need an excuse to watch it again, here it is:

The X-Files Revival – 4th Episode Title and More.

For those of you that might consider these pieces of information a spoiler, this is a warning to turn around and continue your rewatch!

From our official sources we can inform today that the 4th episode of the X-Files revival will be titled “Babylon”. Chris Carter has said on record, in EW and at Neuchâtel International Fantastic Film Festival, that this episode will deal with Scully’s most distinctive character features:

“Quite unlike anything that’s been done before on the show. It deals with a very timely and newsworthy subject. It deals with it in a way that you will not recognize as anything that’s come before it. We are breaking some new ground and trying some new things.”

Sounds exciting, doesn’t it?

EW also announced that the new cast additions, Robbie Amell and Laura Ambrose as Agents Miller and Einstein, respectively, will be part of this episode. Dean Haglund has said on Twitter that the infamous trio will join the party too.

We invite you to discuss all your predictions in our Revival Forums. We’ll post more information as it comes. In the meantime, you can review all the confirmed information on our compilation: The X-Files Returning to TV – Know All About It!

Featured Video – Soldier On

Does it make me a bad person to be happy when Mulder and Scully are sad? Not gut-wrenchingly the world is ending sad, just, you know… single-tear Scully, squinty eyed Mulder kind of sad. If it’s wrong, then I don’t wanna be right because then I’d have no use for today’s Fanvid Friday selection.

Enjoy! Shoutout to a new vidder, rileycat111, for today’s video.
